Video of currency notes in Indore falsely viral as ‘Muslim conspiracy’ to spread coronavirus
Remember BJP MP from Bihar’s Godda, Nishikant Dubey? He attained notoriety after a video went viral on social media showing one of his supporters washing his feet and then drinking the used dirty water.
The MP from Godda came under considerable condemnation for encouraging such gross act in a bid to flaunt his power. Two days after the controversial act went viral, Dubey has served legal notices to journalists and media houses that carried the video.
In his four-page complaint, Dubey has astonishingly defended the act of his supporter for washing the MP’s feet and drinking the used dirty water. The BJP lawmaker said that neither he nor his supporter had broken any laws for the media houses and journalists to criticse them in public. He said the country’s constitution allowed to live a life of his choice.
Among the journalists and media houses included in Dubey’s complaint are NDTV, Zee News, News18 group, Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, ABP, journalist Pranoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy among others.
He’s the police to book these media houses and the journalists named under Sections 500, 504 and 506 of the IPC and Section 57 of the IT Act of 2000.
Reacting to the development, the RJD leader and Bihar’s former deputy chief minister, Tejashwi Yadav, wrote, “Instead of apologising for his shameful conduct BJP MP Nishikant Dubey (getting his dirty feet washed by a poor man who then drank that water) is bullying and trying to intimidate people in the media & social media through cases through his proxies.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too reacted angrily and said that after controlling media by ‘controlling advertisers and money,’ the BJP had now started filing police cases against those who questioned the shameful acts of its MPs.He tweeted, “So far the BJP was controlling media by controlling advertisers and through money. But now it seems it has decided to file police cases against media if it dares to question shameful acts of its MPs.”
