This year’s Bigg Boss could well emerge as the most violent edition of the reality show on Colors TV. Salman Khan had revealed during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode how as many as six contestants needed medical emergency because of the physical fights involving housemates. Siddharth Shukla and Paras Chhabra have been taken out of the main house for treatment, while Rashami Desai too is receiving treatment for a hairline fracture in her finger. Now, a newspaper report claims that the reality show has also adversely impacted the health of its host Salman Khan.
A recent newspaper report quoted a source close to Salman’s Dad Salim Khan as saying that the Bollywood megastar had recently recovered from a health issue called Trigeminal Neuralgia, which doesn’t allow him to get very angry as it will disturb his nerves. “But every week, one or the other participant is getting on to his nerves, which is not good for Salman’s health. Hence, this is certainly the last season of the show that he will be hosting. He has been wanting to quit for a few seasons now, but somehow the channel and the production house keep getting him back. But now, he has clearly been told by close ones as well that the show should not hurt him in any manner, as his family and friends are concerned for him,” Deccan Chronicle newspaper quoted an industry source as saying.
The last few episodes of the Weekend Ka Vaar has seen Salman lose his temper at the housemates. One on occasion, Salman even threatened to beat up Siddharth Shukla after he violently attacked Asim Riaz. He had dared Siddharth to fight with him either inside or outside the house.
Last week, Salman was so furious that he directed most of the housemates to ‘pack their bags’ and leave the show. He was also furious and disappointed that Siddharth had routinely ignored his advice in the show.
