New Delhi, Apr 16: Micro blogging site Twitter has suspended the account of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s sister and her PR manager Rangoli Chandel after she wrote a post that allegedly read, ” make these mullahs [Muslims] + secular media stand in a line and shoot them dead”.
She made the comment while referring to an incident, in which a medical team was allegedly attacked by a group of people in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district. The incident took place when the medical team reached Moradabad’s Nawabganj area for screening of the people who had allegedly come in touch of a coronavirus patient.
In her tweet, Chandel said, “the history they may call us nazis who cares, life is more imp than fake image”.
Several Twitter users had reported Chandel’s account on the micro-blogging site and some of them had also addressed Mumbai Police seeking action against her. This finally resulted in suspension of her account.
Several users have thanked Twitter for its decision to block Chandel’s account. Jewellery designer Farah Khan wrote, “Thank you @Twitter @TwitterIndia @jack for suspending this account. I reported this because she targeted a specific community and called for them to be shot along with liberal media and compared herself to the Nazis.”
