In a horrifying experience, passengers on Mumbai-Jaipur Jet Airways flight left petrified as the cabin pressure dropped alarming inside the flight soon after it took off for its destination.

Suddenly the oxygen masks dropped and passengers began to complaint about headache and nose-bleeding. As many as 30 passengers said they suffered from nose bleed. This was after a cabin crew had forgotten to switch on a button that regulates the cabin pressure.

Left with no options, the Jet Airways had to return to its origin as one passenger needed to be hospitalised. There were 166 passengers on board.

One passenger told ANI, “After we took off the AC malfunctioned, then air pressure system malfunctioned too&oxygen masks came out. Some of us experienced nose bleeding & headache: Darshak Hathi, passenger on board Mumbai-Jaipur Jet Airways flight which was turned back to Mumbai due to loss in cabin pressure.”

The airline later issued a statement, which read, “Jet Airways flight 9w 697 Mumbai to Jaipur of 20th September 2018 made an air turn back due to loss in cabin pressure.” It went on to add that the plane landed normally as guests ‘deplaned safely’ and taken to terminal.

First aid, the statement added, was provided to those who complained of ear pain and nose bleeding. The statement further added, “The flight’s cockpit crew has been taken off scheduled duties pending investigation. The airline is making alternative flight arrangements for guests on the flight. Jet Airways regrets the inconvenience caused to its guests.”
